The Port of Cawit is the other port of entry in the province of Marinduque aside from the Port of Balanacan and Sta. Cruz. Like the Port of Balanacan, it serves the towns of Boac, Gasan and Buenavista. These two (2) ports complement each other in providing continous flow of commerce and trade to these towns. The Port of Ambulong is one of the three (3) municipal ports located at Sibuyan Island. The port is ninety two (92) kilometres away, more or less from the town proper of Magdiwang, facing the island of Romblon, Romblon.
